A hand poured soy candle that is made using biodegradable soy wax and FSC wooden wicks with essential oils. Ray of Sunshine Candle has an uplifting fragrance with an intense floral scent and a hint of citrus.

Zero Waste Path Ray of Sunshine Candle was inspired by the Happy Balm. An uplifting fragrance that has an intense floral scent with a hint of citrus.
All the candles in the Zero Waste Path range are hand poured, made from a blend of vegan, biodegradable soy wax. The wicks are made from FSC certified wood and have an amazing fire like crackle when being burnt.

For the first burn, always burn the candle for 3-4 hours to ensure an even melt pool. This is essential for a perfect burning candle! On the other burns only light the candle for 2 hours maximum each time
Before lighting always trim the wick to 5mm. To do this it should be sufficient to remove the burnt wood from the top of the wick
Glass may become hot during use so be careful! Extinguish the candle when there’s 5mm of wax remaining and do not relight it
Remove any leftovers, wash the jar and reuse it!
Please note that each candle is handmade and hand-poured using natural ingredients, so slight variations in appearance, scent and performance may occur.

The Wooden lids have a silicone liner, the logo is branded by Zero Waste Path with a UK-made electric branding iron.
The scent label is made of 80% recycled paper, 20% FSC paper, while the round CLP label at the bottom is made of 100% recycled paper. The labels are vegan, made in the UK and shipped to Zero Waste Path plastic-free.

Zero Waste Path was founded by Bianca and Giulio who started their zero-waste journey in 2016 and started to seek out more sustainable replacements to incorporate in their lives. They found it tricky to navigate which companies had values that aligned with theirs and which companies were using the rise in popularity of the zero-waste movement as an opportunity to greenwash.
As customers Bianca and Giulio didn’t want perfection from the companies that they bought from, but they did want transparency so that they could make a well-informed decision. Along the journey, Bianca started making more and more of her own products and in time started flirting with the idea of opening an online shop.
In 2018 Zero Waste Path was launched initially from their kitchen. Fast forward to 2022 they are now at the helm of a busy growing business based in a workshop in Cambridge. The business aligns with their personal values which are handmade, vegan, plastic free, circular, cruelty free, natural, palm oil free and using renewable energy. Everything is produced in house apart from the cloth products.
For every Greener Beauty customer order we plant one tree. This is part of our ongoing effort to lower our carbon footprint and build a better world. We work with an American Charity called Eden Reforestation who plant trees globally where they are most needed. They hire, train and employ local people at a fair wage who then plant trees native to their land and protect the seedlings and eventually the forests. As a result of their careful nurturing they have an 80% seedling survival rate. This gives the local people a consistent income enabling them to provide for their families, and as the reforestation effort goes on, healthy forests emerge and the negative effects of deforestation disappear. Since Eden Reforestation began over 250 million trees have been planted around the world in Ethiopia, Madagascar, Nepal, Haiti, Indonesia, Mozambique. To further negate the carbon footprint of Greener Beauty HQ we also plant 15 trees a month per member of staff. Always ethical. Always vegan. Always Greener Beauty.
