Follow these simple instructions to ensure you use up every last precious drop of wax and essential oil.

You can also re-use the tin. Perfecto!

​Trim the wick to 5mm before lighting. This will help reduce soot production and ensure a clean burn.

​If you’ve ever bought a candle only to find that when you have burned it, the wax has tunnelled down the middle and left unused wax around the outside of the jar/tin, then this next bit is for you.

​This can happen due to the wrong wick being used in the manufacturing stage (nothing you can do about that) or by not allowing the candle to burn long enough on its first burn.

​Wax has a memory and will burn the same way every time you light it. Yes, wax is a clever old thing.

​To prevent tunnelling, simply follow this rule:

​When you light your candle for the very first time, allow the surface of the wax to melt all the way across the container to the edges.

Leave the wax to melt until it is approximately 5mm deep before extinguishing.

​As a rule of thumb on the first burn, light your small candle for approximately two hours and your large candle for four hours to create a good melt pool for the life of your candle.

​This will ensure an even burn.  When you light your candle again, it should burn down leaving no unused wax. Voila!

​Extinguish your candle by replacing the lid or using a snuffer. Do not blow the candle out as this can cause soot from the wick to fall into the melted wax causing smoking on the next burn. If soot does get into the container, simply wipe off with a damp cloth once the candle has cooled.

Before lighting your candle each time, gently pinch the wick to remove the burnt remains (only do this when the candle is cold). This stops soot from falling into the wax and the wick from curling over and smoking.

It is recommended that you do not burn your candle for longer than four hours at a time as the wick can curl and start to burn erratically.

​If you are burning a group of candles together, please leave at least 10cm between the containers. Candles grouped in this way can produce a vast amount of heat and need space between them to prevent over-heating.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Burn candles out of the reach of children and pets.

Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles.

Do not burn candles near or on anything that can catch fire.
