Greener Beauty Advent Calendar can be opened one gift a day from the 1st to the 24th December or all at once as the most fun and indulgent Christmas gift!

We have thought very hard about how to design our Greener Advent Calendar. We have worked hard to make it as plastic free, zero waste and with the lowest carbon footprint possible. We feel that our advent calendar is like going back to simpler times, it is a modern twist on a vintage advent calendar.

A lot of thought, compassion and love has gone into the making of every one of our advent calendars and for this reason we have a very limited run available.

Of course as a vegan and cruelty free business our beauty advent calendar is too!! We wouldn’t have it any other way!

The RRP of the beauty products in this box is over £260. The total including donations to charities, gift vouchers for us and other vegan friendly businesses and edible goodies is over £350.

This advent calendar will be dispatched Mid November.

PLEASE NOTE – If you order anything else at the same time as this advent it will need to be sent separately and therefore will be subject to a separate postage charge if your additional items are under £35. This will not be added on automatically so we will contact you to arrange this payment, but to ensure a quicker dispatch please place a separate order.

ONE OR MORE GIFTS FOR EACH ADVENT DAY 

There are a total of 29 beauty products that have gone into each advent calendar, so yes some days you will have more than one product! We are not listing the full contents here as we feel that if we were to purchase the advent calendar ourselves we would rather have a surprise every day! However if you would rather know exactly what is in the advent calendar have a look at the ingredients tab where everything is broken down by day with a link to the product listing for each item.

Out of the 29 products in this advent calendar 23 of these are full sizes! 6 of the products are also organic.

Across the advent calendar we have managed to get lots of products from our favourite Greener Beauty brands, some lesser known artisan brands and some big brands including Eden Perfumes, Tisserand, White Rabbit Skincare and Zao Essence of Nature. Included in this selection of products is a preview of a new product that is due to go on sale later this year and two products that are Greener Beauty exclusives and will not be found anywhere else outside this advent calendar.

To keep the carbon footprint as low as possible we have products from 20 companies that are UK based. Only one brand that is from Europe and one product from a New Zealand brand.

Within the advent calendar is a card which lists the features of the gift and lists each product for which day. We decided to only use a single piece of card as opposed to a booklet to keep the waste and carbon emissions as low as possible. However we are aware that you may want more information for a product as you open it on the day. So on this card also there is a QR code which when scanned will take you directly to this product listing and from here you can view all the product information by clicking on the links for each product in the ingredients tab.

PRODUCT PACKAGING

The Greener Beauty Advent Calendar is around 90% plastic free. Most products are packaged in glass, aluminium, bamboo or card. We have one product that is in plastic which is made out of recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable as its made from one of the most recyclable types of plastics. One other product comes in a plastic case but this case will keep this product protected and safe for its long term repeated use so is not single use. 3 products are refillable. The edible treats are also in plastic wrappers.

Hence 90% plastic free!

ADVENT CALENDAR PACKAGING

We haven’t just put a lot of thought into what products we wanted to add to our advent calendar. We have also put a lot of time and thought into how we wanted to present our calendar while having the minimal waste and low carbon footprint, being as zero waste and as environmentally friendly as possible.

This main box has been designed to be reused, re-gifted or if you don’t want to do either of these is fully recyclable. This beautiful box would not look out of place on a dressing table.

The actual calendar will be in a black magnetic box decorated with our gorgeous Greener Beauty ribbon. This box is made from 40% recycled card and the remainder is from FSC certified card (meaning that it has been harvested in a responsible manner).

Inside we have hand wrapped each item in tissue paper or placed them in a small cardboard box with a sticker on for each day. The small cardboard box is also made from a mix of recycled card and the remainder is from FSC certified card. The number stickers are also fully recyclable and can be put in the recycling still on the tissue paper.

Each item is then packed in the magnetic box with shredded tissue paper and a beautiful branded Greener Beauty ribbon. The shredded tissue paper is fully recyclable or compostable.

The advent calendar will be dispatched in a brown postage box which is not bleached and therefore more recyclable.

Every component of the packaging is made in the UK once again reducing the carbon footprint of this calendar.

The card insert is printed using vegan friendly inks and is fully recyclable.

BONUS VOUCHERS AND EDIBLE TREATS

We have lots of gorgeous friends in the vegan community who run fellow vegan businesses and so we have included some bonus items from them in the calendar. These bonuses are not as part of the 1 to 24 numbered gifts and area a completely separate bonus gift.

Some of these are edible vegan treats from one of our favourite companies (these are not included in the advent days so can be enjoyed whenever you want them!)

Four gift vouchers from four of our favourite vegan run businesses which include clothing, jewellery, mail order cakes and vegan holidays. These could be perfect to help with the Christmas shopping while treating yourself with this advent calendar!

Each individual item is either wrapped in tissue paper which is fully recyclable or is in a small cardboard box. The small cardboard box is also made from recycled card and the remainder is from FSC certified card. The number stickers are also fully recyclable and can be put in the recycling still on the tissue paper. The tissue paper the individual items are wrapped in are chlorine and acid free ensuring that they are more easily recyclable and kinder to the beautiful products we are wrapping with it.

The shredded tissue paper that is protecting the advent days is fully recyclable. This white shredded tissue paper is made from 99% recycle pulp fibres.

The card insert is printed using vegan friendly inks and is fully recyclable.

Every component of the packaging is made in the UK keeping the carbon footprint low.
