This soap selection contains:
Aloe Vera: contains only four ingredients and a dash of water. You could feel a teeny bit short changed when you choose this soap…but you won’t. That’s because its sublime natural simplicity is actually priceless. There’s lovely vitamin C and E squeezed into every nourishing bar, together with beta carotene. Meanwhile, gentle natural oils make it rich, creamy and just the ticket for delicate or sensitive skin.
Peppermint & Poppy Seeds: a lively soap that will rouse even the sleepiest of heads with its bracing splash of peppermint essential oil, and a sprinkle of poppy seeds. This invigorating combination makes for a rich creamy lather, with a gently exfoliating undertone to polish you clean.
Lemongrass & Hemp: A sweet and uplifting aroma from steam distilled lemongrass essential oil. This soap has wonderful antibacterial and antiseptic qualities, while hemp bran helps it to gently exfoliate your skin while you wash. Smooth, rich and naturally moisturising too.
Rosemary: this herbal soap bar is perfect for those with sensitive skin. Rosemary essential oil has been used for centuries in folk medicine for its healing properties. It is known to be soothing and relaxing, making it the perfect addition to your daily skincare routine.
All the Friendly Soap Company soaps are Free from Palm Oil, Parabens, Sulphates, Triclosan, Phthalates and Cruelty, as well as being boxed in plastic free recycled (and recyclable) packaging.

With wet hands take the soap into your hands and rub into a nice lather. This lather can then be massaged into face and body. Rinse well.
Keep out of direct sunlight. Store in a cool dry place and allow to dry between use.
Soap is individually boxed in plastic free 100% Recycled Multiprint card stock using zero virgin fibres.
The raw material used for the production of Multiprint is made up of 100% recovered paper: Approximately 30% pre consumer waste and 70% post consumer waste.

Growing up in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, in the 1970s, Rob Costello and Geoff Kerouac found themselves immersed in a hotbed of alternative, hippy and punk culture. This proved to be fertile ground for radical, political thought and social and environmental awareness, still deeply held to this day.
It came naturally to them to rally against the capitalist model and strive to find a fairer way of doing things. And, living in such picturesque countryside as they did, they also felt an instinctive connection to nature.
These values led them, later in life to, work at Suma Wholefoods Co-operative. An experience that proved invaluable, putting real substance behind their ideas. Here they learned that it really is possible to run a successful business where ethics come before profit.
Now inspired, motivated and environmentally aware, they were ready for the next step, an ethically-based business of their own. Here was a chance for them to live out their ideals and give something honest and good back to the world.
For Rob and Geoff, making soap is about so much more than manufacturing a product. It is a constant process of learning, improving and refining, in order to make as little impact on nature and health as possible.
Friendly soap are committed to producing soaps that contain no animal products or by-products. They are also completely against testing cosmetics on animals and are registered with Cruelty Free International and The Vegan Society.
They use the ancient cold-process method of soap making, which creates a biodegradable soap with zero by-products. There is literally no waste. Everything gets used up and turned into lovely Friendly Soap. Striving always to minimise their impact on the environment, they use as little energy as possible throughout production – every bar of Friendly Soap is poured, cut, stamped and packed by hand, in the UK.
Friendly Soap is made using naturally biodegradable ingredients – unlike commercial detergents that contain synthetic chemicals, that are literally flushed into our rivers. Friendly Soap are totally opposed to using harmful preservatives or foaming agents, believing there is simply no need for SLS or Parabens. The incredible silky smooth lather these natural handmade soap produces and their long life are completely down to the cold process method and our careful choice of ingredients.
Friendly soap will never use Palm Oil and believe the best thing for the rainforests, its animals and the earth is to avoid it entirely. Friendly Soap also buy their Shea Butter from a women’s worker cooperative in Ghana and the Coconut Oil in Friendly soap is not produced using slave monkeys to pick the fruit. Yes, in some places, this actually happens.
By constantly scrutinising their production methods and working practices, they take little steps towards their goal of producing a zero impact natural soap and business model that benefits the planet, its animals and its people.
For every Greener Beauty customer order we plant one tree. This is part of our ongoing effort to lower our carbon footprint and build a better world. We work with an American Charity called Eden Reforestation who plant trees globally where they are most needed. They hire, train and employ local people at a fair wage who then plant trees native to their land and protect the seedlings and eventually the forests. As a result of their careful nurturing they have an 80% seedling survival rate. This gives the local people a consistent income enabling them to provide for their families, and as the reforestation effort goes on, healthy forests emerge and the negative effects of deforestation disappear. Since Eden Reforestation began over 250 million trees have been planted around the world in Ethiopia, Madagascar, Nepal, Haiti, Indonesia, Mozambique. To further negate the carbon footprint of Greener Beauty HQ we also plant 15 trees a month per member of staff. Always ethical. Always vegan. Always Greener Beauty.
