If you met me in a pre Covid world at a vegan festival you will probably know that one of my favourite items in my skincare regime is my Ditsy cloth. I have been using it since May 2019 and after a wash it still looks and feels like new and is still very effective at removing makeup with just a bit of water.

Dearest Fannie are the brand behind the ditsy cloth, started by two sisters, Jessica and Ellie, that I have had the pleasure of meeting at a number of vegan festivals round the UK. This week Ellie shares how the brand was started and the unusual dinner party of her dreams.

TELL US ABOUT HOW YOU STARTED DEAREST FANNIE

Dearest Fannie was born in 2018 by sisters, Jessica Duff and Ellie Duff, that’s me! We had become vegan in 2017 and ever since that point, we knew we wanted a vegan business. Veganism taught us so much, it was a gateway to learning about animal rights and the climate crisis and how the two were so closely linked. We decided we wanted to create alternatives that were vegan, cruelty free and sustainable. Dearest Fannie became our way of activism.

WHAT DEAREST FANNIE PRODUCT MAKES YOU MOST PROUD?

I am most proud of our Ditsy Cloth. It’s our best-selling product and reduces waste drastically. It’s available here on The Greener Beauty.

IF YOU COULD CHOOSE THREE DREAM DINNER DATES WHO WOULD THEY BE?

People I would love to meet and have dinner with would probably be Munroe Bergdorf, Einstein and maybe the artist Olafur Eliasson. They’re all pretty cool!

IF YOU COULD VISIT ANYWHERE ON EARTH WHERE WOULD YOU GO?

British Columbia in summer!
